About Me

Hi. I'm Christina.  Thanks for checking out my blog!  I'm so glad you are here:)

I'm an elementary and gifted education teacher turned stay at home mom.  My husband and I have been married for just over 10 years and we have beautiful identical twin girls.

My sweet babies at 1 month.
As a stay at home mom I started to feel like a part of my old self was missing.  I started this blog as a way to connect with other parents and caregivers by sharing my own experiences and ideas. As a New Year's Resolution for 2014, I decided to focus more time and energy into writing this blog.

I'm definitely still trying to find a balance between family, friends, blogging, cleaning, and trying to get to the gym.  But, life will always be busy. So, no excuses:)

Before staying at home with the girls, I worked as a teacher for 11 years.  I taught first, third, and fifth grades. I also taught in a gifted and talented program for grades K-5, specializing in primary talent development.  Recently, I spent some time teaching ESOL (English as a Second or Other Language) at the community college level.  I love teaching and sharing my joy of learning with others.

What is Primary Talent Development?
Primary talent development helps to nurture gifted behaviors in young children. Those behaviors include inquisitiveness, creativity,  perceptiveness, communication, persistence, resourcefulness and leadership skills.

I used to love shopping with both girls sharing space in the shopping cart.  Now they are way too big to fit together.
